Two New Larkspur Library Services Now Available to Help the Unemployed

Larkspur Library and The Commons Foundation Announce Availability of AtoZ and Gale Presents – Udemy

August 25, 2020 Larkspur CA — The Commons Foundation (TCF) and the Larkspur Library are proud to announce the availability of two new services to help unemployed or under-employed people find new jobs and learn new job skills. AtoZ and Gale Presents-Udemy are now available for free at the Larkspur Library eResources. The new Library services were funded with a TCF grant in July 2020.

The Library is currently arranging for Zoom workshops to show the public how they can use these new resources.

“We wanted to make sure that our first grant funds went to help those who have lost their jobs find new jobs or add new job skills,” said Franklin Escobedo, Larkspur Director of Community Services (Librarian). “The Commons Foundation has helped the Library help the community by stepping up to raise annual campaign funds quickly to address the Covid-19 pandemic and economic downturn.”

“We are thankful for a City Librarian who prioritizes helping those who need help most, and a generous community of people who will help others when asked,” said Joe Jennings, President, The Commons Foundation. “If you have the capacity to help please go to our website and donate to TCF Annual Campaign.”
