The Commons Foundation (TCF) is pleased to provide our community with important developments.
NEW BOARD MEMBER:
TCF welcomed Cindy Winship to the Board of Directors in May. Cindy is well-known amongst soccer kids and their parents, as she is a very popular soccer coach in the community. Cindy and her husband Chris are donors to our Capital Campaign, and with two teenagers in high-school, they are helping us expand TCF relationships in the high-school education communities.
Earlier in the year, Jon Ellenzweig joined our Board of Directors. Jon and his wife Kristi, are donors to our Seedling Campaign and the Capital Campaign. They are members of the TCF Champions and believe in the transformative capacity of public libraries. As active members in the community they are helping TCF expand its relationship to the K-12 education communities.
CAMPAIGN ADVISOR:
In January, TCF welcomed Serena D’Arcy-Fisher as our new Fundraising Advisor for the major donor stage of fundraising. Serena has assisted successful local non-profits with their capital fundraising campaigns, including Vivalon (formerly known as Whistlestop) and its Healthy Aging Campus, and Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
DRAWINGS:
The late M. Scott Lockard of Lockard Creative in Kentfield, and Chris Hartzell of our Board updated the conceptual drawings of the new library to match the City Council’s approved $5 Million first phase project. TCF looks forward to the result. We are very sad to share with you that Scott was killed recently in a road accident.
