TCF Newsletter November 2025

Dear Serena,

November reminds us to pause, gather close, and give thanks for the abundance in our lives, both big and small. And as we reflect during this season of gratitude, it’s also a perfect moment to share how your support is moving the library project forward.

This November, we’re filled with gratitude as the vision for Larkspur’s new library grows from a dream to reality.

Library Update from Julian Skinner, Public Works Director/City Engineer

The library building is now ‘dried-in’, meaning exterior work on the building, such as siding, plaster, windows, doors, and roofing, has been completed to the point where the interior work can continue without risk of damage from the elements.

On-going work includes taping and finishing drywall, priming and painting, and pulling all the electrical and communications conductors through conduits in the walls. Upcoming work includes ceilings, doors, and lighting.

Outside the building, irrigation mains are being installed, the parking lot received its first layer of asphalt, and the site’s concrete walkways are underway. Upcoming work includes tree planting and grading for the habitat garden and Commons Area.

The construction work remains on schedule for a spring opening.

Donor Recognition Wall: Celebrate Your Support

Through our collaboration with architect Chris Noll’s team, a beautiful Donor Recognition Wall is taking shape inside the new library to honor gifts of $5,000 and above. If you’d like to be included, there’s still time to donate. Contact us today.

Fundraising Update: Leave a Legacy – Naming Opportunities Available

Room naming opportunities are still available, offering a lasting way to support the library and be part of its legacy. Options range from a study room to larger gathering spaces.

Below is a dollhouse view of the library, along with a numbered floor plan that indicates which naming opportunities are still available. Interested in learning more? Reach out today. We’d love to discuss how you or your organization can make a lasting impact.

The Commons Foundation (TCF) continues fundraising to ensure the outdoor spaces are as inviting as the library itself, with:

  • Comfortable, durable outdoor furnishings
  • Sustainable landscaping
  • Plenty of trees and vibrant garden zones with outdoor seating and furniture
  • Shade structures
  • Outdoor covered platform
  • Your tax-deductible gift helps bring these areas to life. Please use the ‘Donate Now’ link below to go to our website to learn more or to donate.

Finally, we’re offering our warmest thanks and gratitude to everyone supporting this project, especially the generous TCF donors who are helping make this new library possible.

Sincerely,

A handwritten signature in black ink that reads "Ann IS Morrison" with a long horizontal line running through the middle.
