TCF Newsletter December 2025

Several construction workers in safety vests work inside a large, unfinished building with exposed ceiling beams, scattered tools, equipment, and a lift. Large windows let in natural light from outside.

Dear Friends,

As the holiday season approaches, we extend our warmest wishes and heartfelt thanks to our generous donors and community. May this season bring you joy, reflection, and meaningful time spent with those you cherish.

Library Update from Julian Skinner, Public Works Director/City Engineer

With the weather cooperating, work is continuing on schedule inside and outside the new library. Inside, drywall has been hung and primed, ready for finishes and painting. The grid for the wood ceiling has been installed, and the ceiling will be completed in the coming weeks. Likewise, bathroom fixtures and cabinetry/shelving are also being installed.

Outside, the wood slats are being placed in the shade awnings, and the last section of concrete walkway is being formed. Grading for the Commons area, including the seating and turf area, is underway. Finally, the foundation for the shade trellis at the east end of the Commons area was recently completed.

Our New Library’s Outdoor Spaces

Generous contributions from donors are helping TCF and the City create a
welcoming outdoor environment around the library building. Planned features include patios, walkways, attractive gardens, inviting seating areas, arbors, abundant trees, and amenities for both cyclists and pedestrians.

We are committed to ensuring that the outdoor spaces at The Commons are as beautiful and inviting as the new library itself. Together, with tax-deductible contributions from our community, we can bring this vision to life. Thank you for your generosity and support.

A Christmas tree made entirely of stacked, colorful books sits in front of a counter at a cozy café or bookstore. The books are arranged in circular layers, forming a tree shape.

A tree made of stories reminds us that the greatest gifts are those we share. May your holiday season be filled with good books, warm moments, and lasting memories.

Thank you for being part of our library community, today and always!

Warmly,
