Dear Friends, We have very, very good news! The Commons Foundation (TCF) now has cash and pledges of $5.1M. This means we have met our $5M goal two months before our year-end deadline. Thank you to all of our donors and supporters who have contributed to The Commons Foundation efforts during the last 3 years. Our board of directors has met, and with the city’s agreement, reached a consensus to continue fund raising to increase the square footage for program and community meeting space in the new library. Our deadline to raise funds for the building remains 12/31/22. In January the city will send out a Request For Qualifications with the total of TCF, the State, and the City’s funds committed to the project. |

Right now, we have the opportunity to impact the size and quality of our future new library.
Library programs and community meetings can be enhanced if we can raise enough funds to expand the size of the new Library. Building a larger facility from the outset will save money in building costs and will reduce the construction impact on the Rose Lane community. Raising more funds now for a larger space with community meeting rooms means the new library can serve more people starting in 2025.
If you’re thinking about holiday gift giving, what could be a better gift than a tax-deductible donation towards a new Larkspur Library which will transform our community for generations to come?
Please let us know if you can offer your support with a donation in cash, stock, a RMD from a retirement fund, from your Donor Advised Fund, or a pledge payable by 2024.
Thank you for your continued support. This library is for you!,
Joe Jennings
President, The Commons Foundation
