Major Donor Appreciation Event

Major Donor Appreciation Event

We held a Major Donor Appreciation Event on June 2, with over 40 individuals attending through Zoom. This gave us an opportunity to honor Scott Lockard, AIA, Lockard Creative and share his masterful concept drawings of The Commons and our future Larkspur Library. Lockard Creative is one of the world’s pre-eminent early-phase design specialists.

Joe Jennings, TCF Board President took the opportunity to thank the annual library supporters, and provide a big thanks to campaign seedling donors, and our current capital supporters who’ve brought us to this point. We have lift off…

Chris Hartzell, TCF Board Member, Urban Planner by profession, and longtime colleague, introduced Architectural Artist, and author, Scott Lockard. Hartzell shared some of the amazing projects the two collaborated on around the world from theme parks to new towns, and public buildings.

Hartzell’s highest praise came in the form of a simple statement, “I’ve spent decades looking at pretty pictures, but Scott’s work has a way of leading to projects that get implemented, get developed. He creates front end work that becomes the foundation for debate and discussion. He’s done that with the library, and it will become the framework for action.”

Lockard’s presentation showed the variety of projects he’s worked on, as well as the process we went through to develop the design for the fundraising and public outreach phase of the Commons modern library project.

A video recap of the event will be available on our website soon.
