I look out my window and watch people walking by with library books under their arms heading to the library’s curbside pickup. This parade of people include children, families, and seniors.
I also see in the Library’s August 2020 operating statistics a 50% increase in eBook use over 2019, Library Zoom programs being viewed over 2,200 times on YouTube, and increases in Children’s and Young Adult book use.
We know that this is a difficult year with Covid-19 pandemic, school closings, economic recession, Red Flag warnings and a national election all happening at the same time. We want to thank the Friends of the Library, our donors and volunteers, and the library staff and management for pitching in to maximize library’s physical and virtual services.
